Teens in Intensive Outpatient Program

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), a transformative resource for teens aged 13 to 17 who are navigating the challenges of substance use. Starting December 17, 2024, this program provides a lifeline for young people and their families, offering the tools and support needed to create a brighter, healthier future.

Why We Created the Adolescent IOP

Substance use among adolescents is a growing concern, but early intervention can make all the difference. Many teens facing these challenges are not yet in need of residential treatment or traditional outpatient services but still require structured, expert guidance to prevent their issues from escalating.

Our Adolescent IOP bridges this gap by providing a flexible and supportive approach tailored to the unique needs of teens.

What Makes This Program Special?

  1. Evidence-Based Curriculum: The program incorporates the Matrix Model for Early Recovery and Relapse Prevention and the Mind Matters curriculum from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). These proven methods equip teens with the knowledge and skills to make healthier decisions and build a foundation for recovery.

  2. Separate Gender Groups: Understanding the importance of comfort and safety, our groups are separated by gender, allowing teens to open up and engage in a setting where they feel supported and understood.

  3. Blended Delivery Format: The program combines the convenience of telehealth sessions with in-person activities to provide a balanced and comprehensive experience. Teens can connect with peers and counselors from the comfort of their home while also participating in face-to-face opportunities that foster connection and growth.

  4. Access to Mental Health Medication, Medication-Assisted Treatment, and Therapy: Our program can support teens with dual-diagnosis issues, mental health problems, and who are in need of medication-assisted treatment.

What Teens Will Learn

Over the course of this 10-week program, participants will explore:

  • Early Recovery Skills: Identifying triggers, breaking unhealthy patterns, and building resilience.

  • Relapse Prevention: Strategies to manage stress, navigate relationships, and stay committed to their goals.

  • Mind Matters Education: Understanding how substances affect the brain and body and learning to make informed choices.

This holistic approach empowers teens to take control of their lives and set a positive course for the future.

Who Should Enroll?

The Adolescent IOP is designed for teens who:

  • Are beginning to experiment with substance use or show risky behaviors.

  • Need more support than traditional outpatient services provide.

  • Want to develop the skills and confidence to overcome challenges and thrive.

A Resource for Families and Communities

Substance use doesn’t just affect teens—it impacts their families, schools, and communities. Our Adolescent IOP is a resource for parents, educators, and community leaders who want to help teens avoid the pitfalls of substance use and build healthier, more fulfilling lives.

By enrolling a teen in this program, you’re taking a critical step toward supporting their well-being and long-term success.
