Dual-Diagnosis Services

Couples Therapy

Services are FREE for Partnership Health Plan (Medi-Cal) members. We also offer affordable private-pay rates for our mental health services.

At Center Point Drug Abuse Alternatives Center (DAAC), we recognize the intricate connection between mental health and substance use disorders. Our Dual Diagnosis Services are dedicated to providing integrated care for individuals facing both challenges, ensuring a holistic approach to recovery.

Understanding Dual Diagnosis

Dual Diagnosis, also known as co-occurring disorders, refers to the condition where a person experiences both a mental health disorder and a substance use disorder simultaneously. Treating these conditions together is crucial because each can affect the other, and integrated treatment increases the chances of a successful recovery.

Our Comprehensive Approach

Personalized Assessment

  • Thorough Evaluation: Our team conducts in-depth assessments to understand your mental health status and substance use history.

  • Individualized Treatment Plans: Based on your unique needs, we develop a customized plan that addresses both mental health and substance use issues.

Integrated Treatment Services

  • Mental Health Therapy: Licensed professionals offer evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address conditions like depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and more.

  • Substance Use Treatment: We provide counseling, education, and support to help you overcome addiction, including relapse prevention strategies.

  • Medication Management: When appropriate, our medical team can prescribe and manage medications to assist with both mental health symptoms and substance withdrawal.

Supportive Programs

  • Group Therapy Sessions: Engage with peers facing similar challenges to share experiences and build a supportive community.

  • Family Counseling: We involve family members to foster understanding and strengthen your support system.

"What is addiction, really? It is a sign, a signal, a symptom of distress. It is a language that tells us about a plight that must be understood." - Alice Miller
